The American Legion Corps of Cadets is a leadership program for young adults
ages 10-17. Volunteers and parents work closely with each cadet teaching them: Leadership skills - - Life skills - -Responsibility - - The Cadet Creed and Code of Conduct - - Military discipline - - Self discipline - - Dedication, The cadets meet once a week for drill and ceremony, physical fitness, character education, community service and vocational exploration. Cadets learn the cadet creed, drill and ceremony and military customs and courtesies and use drill and teambuilding activities to promote life skills, drug awareness and drug prevention, leadership and physical fitness.
