Yep, it's true summer is almost over time to get back to work.  September 7th, this our next meeting @7PM. At this meeting we will be draping the charter in honor of one of auxiliary members Beverly Tietz who passed away this month. I'm hoping that all members who come to the meetings will show their support for the new elected officers. Come to our meetings and bring your thoughts, we love to brainstorm, so don't be a member in name only let's see your friendly faces. From what I hear we are picking up new members, but ask yourself this question, what can I share with the auxiliary? Why do we join? I know I joined so I can contribute in any way possible, and yes, you will see me around the post with my sidekick Elvis (side joke) but please ladies come to the meetings. We are also asking for volunteers to work the Bingo kitchen once a month which is the 4th Wednesday of the month, so come on down to Legion and have some fun, no matter what job we do we make sure we have fun doing it. By the time you get this we will have had our first annual Chicken BBQ and I'm sure a few of us will have been there helping, but coming up is the Fair, and I know Mark Adams could use some help so sign up it's a great way to meet new friends or see old ones. We are hoping to get permission to hold the Halloween party for the kids on October 30th, more info to follow, we know the kids had a great time last year as did the grownups. Get those poodle skirts out of the closet and join us on November 6th,  7PM -11PM SOCK HOP music by the band SMOKIN . Tickets are $8.00  I'm sure fun will be had by all who attend so get your family & friends together . We are asking all who attend bring a pair of socks for the troops, flyers and tickets will be available at the post bar. Watch for the Flyers. As always hope to see you soon.
